Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months after your arrival in Indonesia. Otherwise, you may be denied entry to the country.
Make a copy of your passport and keep it with you when you're traveling around Bali. Leave your original passport in a safe place.
As of June 9, 2023, vaccination against COVID-19 is no longer required for entry to Indonesia. However, the Indonesian government recommends that all visitors and residents get vaccinated, use the Satusehat app, and follow sanitary measures, especially those who are at risk. If the COVID-19 situation worsens, health protocols may be revised.
Before you fly, make sure you have good travel insurance! If you don't have travel insurance before you fly, there is a local insurance company on Bali called Allianz. Carefully check how long your insurance will cover you for and read all the terms and conditions. We recommend choosing coverage of at least USD 50,000 with COVID-19 coverage. Print out your insurance and keep it with you wherever you go. Also, save the number of your 24/7 assistance hotline in your phone.
If you plan to ride a motorbike or drive a car on Bali, be sure to bring your international driver's license. Police raids are conducted on the roads to check for international licenses.
Download the SATUSEHAT Mobile health monitoring app on your phone and register for an account.
